Hopefully your significant other hasn’t left you yet, as we only have three more games to get through before this crazy tournament ends. So, grab some pizza, your beverage of choice, have your attorney’s number on hand, and buckle up for some exciting games!

Saturday, April 3rd
#2 Houston Vs #1 Baylor (2:14 pm CBS) – The pride of Texas is up for grabs in this juggernaut of a matchup. Both of these teams play excellent defense, and neither team, at a glance, has any glaring weaknesses. Taking a deeper look, the key factor in this game could be second chance points. Houston is the second leading offensive rebounding team in the county, and if Baylor has any soft point, it would be their defensive rebounding. Having said that, I believe that the Bears suffocating defense will cause just enough havoc to create the turnover discrepancy they have seen all tournament to negate any advantage Houston may have on the offensive boards. I’m sticking with my pre-tournament pick, Baylor moves on to the final, barely.
#11 UCLA Vs #1 Gonzaga (5:34 pm CBS) – What more is there to say about UCLA’s magical run? From the First Four to the Final Four, to waking up the ghosts of Westwood past, it’s been hard to root against this team. Frankly though, UCLA has no business being this far, but I’ve been saying that for the past two games. Gonzaga, on the other hand, is going for college basketball immortality. They have had the best team all year, and many are already calling them one of the best college basketball teams of all-time. Can Gonzaga get one step closer to the mountain top? Can UCLA conjure the legends of Wooden, Alcindor, and Walton to keep this impossible dream alive? I would love to go out on a limb here, but just like my Baylor pick, I’m sticking with my pre-tournament choice. UCLA, ultimately, is outclassed here. I have Gonzaga winning this one going away.
